MRI conclusion

Hi,

Ive just received results from a MRI scan on my cervical spine. Everything seemed okay
except on
C5/6  says   there is significant posterior hypertrophic bony osteophytosis impinging on the spinal cord. The foraminal spaces are not compromised. There is no disc protrusion.

Could you please explain what this means? I was assaulted at work

Thankyou soo much

Thanx for yr advice. Yes its a bony spur that is now impinging on my spinal cord from the assault. Now waiting to see neurosurgeon in 6 weeks. Appears surgery is the only solution. Thanxs for yr reply!
