MRI findings

Hi - My son, who is is 11 has had an MRI which has been reported as showing:

- Incomplete myelination to the anterior frontal and parietal lobes

- Prominant Virchow Robin Spaces in the frontal white matter and deep white matter (basal ganglia)

- Focal area of gliosis in the peritrigonal region of left hemisphere

My son has severe learning disabilities, retained primitive reflexes, hypotonia, severe speech and language disorder and dysfunction, and possible visual dysfuntion (with corrected acquity) - we are wainting for opthalmic consult,   He is also unable to dress himself, use a knife and fork, and has severe issues with sequencing and short term memory.  He has negative genetic testing and is not autictic or on the spectrum.

At 4 weeks he suffered a cardiovascular collapse, requiring ventilation for severe right & left sided heart failure and impending respiratory failure, conversion for SVT, and severe hypotension.  At collapse he was unresponsive to pain, then progressed to loose tone and developed a high pitched cry before being ventilated...

My questions are:

- Does the MRI correlate to the difficulties he experiences?

- Are the findings indicative of collapse and the resulting difficulties?  

- Where is the peritrigonal region and what tracts run through it?  - I have been unable to find any information on it!
