MRI results - pain and pins & needles medial scapula border

I had a motor vehicle accident in January this year. Besides the usual symptoms of whiplash - I had sudden onset of pain and pins & needles on the border of the scapula closest to the spine on the right. I have had no previous pain in the area. The numb feeling is there almost always although often better in the morning. It is aggravated by working at a computer. Sometimes I have a numb feeling in my right little finger, but it really is the shoulder that is bothering me most. From a previous car accident more than 10 years ago I had lower thoracic pain. I was diagnosed with costochondritis many years later of the lower right ribs.

My MRI results:
There is a mild annular bulge at the c5/6 and c6/7 levels. No focal disc herniation is detected. A loop of the right vertebral artery enters the superior aspect of the right c6 neural foramen. On sagittal imaging there is a relative reduction of the c6 foraminal diameter and slight mass effect on the c6 nerve. There is no evience of compression of the right c7 or 8 nerves centrally. Thoracic disc height and signal intensity are maintained. There is no abnormality of intensity within the cervico-thoracic spinal cord. No abnormalities are detected at the craniocervical juntion. No body injuries are detected. Hyperintensity of benign appearance is noted within the superior aspect of the T9 vertebrae on T1 and T2 weighted imaging.
Conclusion: Disc bulge c5/6 and C6/7 levels. No associated discogenic compression of neural structures. Vertebral artery loop enters the right c6 neural foramen with potential for right c6 nerve impingement. Appearances suggest anatomical variation rather than traumatic cause. ?Associated c6 nerve symptoms.

Is there anything here that would explain the shoulder symptoms? While the artery loop is an anatomical variation....could it explain the onset of symptoms following compression of the discs following trauma? ie if the neural formen space was made smaller already because of the loop, could the narrowing of the disc explain the problem? Could c6 nerve compression cause the symptoms I'm describing?
