MS and elevation of liver enzymes

by johnlarlee, Feb 24, 2008 02:11PM
I got some extremely high liver enzyme and  blood Fe (iron) readings a few weeks ago. What am I to think?? My GGT was 589 (high norm 84), my Iron was 525 (high norm 250), and my ALT was also out of sight.
Is it serious? I feel alright, apart from usual MS symptoms.  Not on any MS drugs, in SP phase after 20 years. Have dropped lipitor, T3, celebrex. Will drop Alertec (MS alertness drug, like Amantadine) and Flomax (urinary tract fatigue) if I must.John

Hi John,

I have extremely high liver enzymes as well. It's being investigated at the moment. Was it your medication causing the high liver enzymes? I know Lipitor can do this.
