: I'd be very interested in info on "Isolated spinal cord MS". Does anyone know of on-line literature, web-sites, etc... I've been all over the typical web-sites put out by the various MS organizations and this is only the third mention of Spinal MS that I've run across.

The article on transverse myelitis is where the lesion almost encompasses the spinal cord.  The is almost a transection of the cord with demyelination.  These types of lesions can also be seen with infectious processes, a post-infection demyelination.  Scaroid can also present as a transverse myelitis.  The demyelination usually covers several spinal cord levels.  The MRI would show demyelination or bright area on T2 in the spinal cord affected.  There is a type of MS that presents in children with transverse myelitis and optic neuritis called Devicks Syndrome.
I hope this helps alittle.
Sincerely,
