MS symptoms

This is my first post as I'm not sure where to turn so thank you in advance for any guidance.  My 26 year old son is exhibiting symptoms of what sounds like MS.  He is a current graduate student in an allied health field. In October 2016 he was diagnosed with vestibular neuritis.  At that time he had sudden onset of vertigo, nystagmus, tinnitus.  Was treated with a steroid and seemed to resolve in about a week.  In mid-August of this year, he was in a vestibular clinic lab testing his vestibular occular reflex which triggered nystagmus.  This past week he developed blurry vision, numbness and tingling in all extremeties and weakness.  He started to limp and finds it difficult to carry more than a backpack. His knee caps are also affected.

The other outlying symptom is extreme thirstiness which he has probably had for awhile. I also know there is a fair amount of stress with school and work.

Insurance coverage is challenging as a grad student.  I know he will need some expensive tests.  I wish I could trade places with him.  If anyone has suggestions, I would be deeply appreciative.
