: I would like to know if anyone has used magnetic therapy for fibromyalgia or other muscular conditions and if they have benefited from them

This information is provided for general medical education purposes only.
Please consult your physician for diagnostic and treatment options of your specific medical condition.
A computer search of the Medline database which covers all the major medical journals (3,600 in all), from 1966 to October 1997 revealed no cross reference between the subjects “therapeutic use of magnetics/ electromagnetics” and fibromyalgia.
A similar search in the Healthstar database from 1975 to 1997 was equally unrewarding.
While the absence of a reference in the world literature to this  mode of therapy for fibromyalgia does not  mean it is not being tried, it does suggest that  it has  not  met with the sort of statistically significant success which would  is required for  publication in  the medical literature.
