Many strange symptoms (weakness, twitching, more)

Hi all, I am looking for thoughts and reassurance of the following symptoms I have had.

For the past several years I had a sense of weakness in my hands and fingers. I feel it is worse on some days than others and affected all fingers. I guessed it was carpal tunnel and wore wrist splints for extra support.

In the past couple of months I began experiencing strange sensations in the muscles throughout my body. These consisted of terrible muscle aches as well as cramps and twitches. For example:
--The bottoms of my feet feel crampy and my left leg felt stiff sometimes (but normal at other).
--I sometimes wake up with a pins and needles sensation between my shoulder and elbow.
--A few times my legs felt heavy and weak, and one or two times my trunk felt weak. My hands continue to feel weak.

So, what I am left with is a sensation that my muscles don’t feel quite “right.” The muscle aches have improved, although I still feel these isolated and inexplicable sore spots (like on my shin and the back of my knee). Still have some weakness, weird aches and these strange twitches here and there.

I am an otherwise healthy mid-30s woman. I have had two normal neuro exams, a normal MRI, blood tests for thyroid, vitamin D, B12, and rheumatic illnesses. I also had an EMG several months ago (before the twitching started). This EMG looked at my hand only (since they suspected carpal tunnel), but came back normal. I was given a tentative diagnosis of carpal tunnel. Unfortunately, my PCP said that the EEG wouldn’t necessarily rule out ALS since it can start in one part of the body and wouldn’t necessarily show up in a test of my hand muscles (although I had already noticed weakness there?).

My doctor suggested I follow up with the neuro for an EEG to rule out some type of seizure activity. Should I get more tests or wait and see if the weakness gets worse? How worried should I be about the dreaded ALS? Do these symptoms sound characteristic of any specific diagnosis that my tests haven’t ruled out?

In the past I have taken a lot of supplements so I also wonder if this could be symptom of some sort of vitamin toxicity or a supplement that contains toxins? Also, I will mention that several years ago I had several near-fainting episodes that were determined to be either the side effect of stimulant medication for ADD or vaso vagal syndrome…not sure if this could be related.

I forgot to mention that sometimes I feel that my swallowing reflex is poor. It feel slow and occasionally the food seems to stick. But it seems to come and go so I haven't worried about it too much, except to the degree that it may be associated with all of my other symptoms.

Does not sound like you had enough blood tests and need MRI of brain and neck. This is not Carpal Tunnel.
