Memory Loss due to viral encephalitis

by nannysue21, Nov 25, 2008 07:20AM
I am home now after spending 2 weeks in the hospital after being diagnosed with viral encephalitis.

I am getting my strength back more every day, but the only thing that still lingers is my recall of names of people I see on TV, etc. Also, before I say something I have to think what I want to say. I guess for my family, this is a good thing.  All kidding aside, I am getting frustrated because I was sharp as a tack with names, places etc.

I guess if this is the only lingering effect I have, I am lucky.  I was just curious.
