Mercury Toxicity

I have high a mercury level, 45nmol/L in blood. I am starting DMSA today after seeing an alternative medical doctor. My most prevelant symptoms are visual problems, mostly white floaters, poor night vision and light sensitivity. I have been diagnosed with peristent migraine aura by a neurologist, and I have been treated for this for the past 7 months. Now I have just found out that I have high mercury, and no one wants to help treat me or change their diagnosis!! My neurologist says he doesn't know anything about mercury toxicity so he can't tell me if any of these symptoms are permanent, and that the damage may be irreversible. We all know that mercury is a strong neurotoxic stubstance, and neurologists don't know anything about this? Unbelievable!
Has anyone had these symptoms before? Also, is there any chance of these symptoms resolving after chelation therapy? I have read mixed reviews about the reversal of CNS toxicity. Any info or other peoples experiences (symptoms before and after treatment) would be most appreciated! Thanks.
