Migraine Associated Vertigo ?

I have been diagnosed with Migraine Associated Vertigo because for the past 2.5 months I have been having dizziness, trouble concentrating/brain fog, and slight headaches/tingling in my scalp. The dizziness feels as though the ground is moving from under my feet. The headaches started at the back of my neck where it meets the bottom of my skull, now they vary and include some slight tingling in my scalp. When I wake up in the morning I usually feel ok for a few minutes but then my symptoms start to act up and are there with me for the rest of the day. I have felt like this every day for the 2.5 months Ive had it. Can this really be Migraine Associated Vertigo? Does that mean that every day im having a migraine? I am a 21 year old college athlete and am at my wits end with this and could use any help/advice.

Midijane I am glad to have read your post and am saddened that you are suffering like myself. A neurologist has diagnosed me with this. As far as inner testing I have had a Vemp and VNG which seemed to be sufficient enough?

Did a Neurologist diagnose you with this?

Have you had inner ear conditions ruled completely out?

Hi Sab02,

Your post hit home bc Ive been told the same thing. Ive had dizziness or less severe lightheadedness since March of this year and Im told that I have a migraine variant disorder. Have you seen a neurologist for your diagnosis?

I have tinglng in my tongue, face, and arms at the moment but the tingling tends to move around. I find that if I stand upright or look to0 quickly in one direction or another that the lightheadedness gets worse and I get a really nausious feeling. As a result, Im down about 30 pounds so far this year since March without trying (small bonus, ha!).

Ive said the same thing as you. This is really wearing me out. My neuro hasnt been much help with this and prescribed Ativan which is an anti-anxiety medication. It just makes me tired so I dont bother.

Im not sure if I can offer any advice here, just support knowing youre not alone. And let me know if you find anything that helps the dizziness since we dont have current migraines, just these aggravating symptoms.

Take care and keep me posted. Hopefully someone else will have a good suggestion for you :).
