Migraines and blurred vision

I've been feeling this way for at least a year. I get horrible migraines for a couple days at a time & the rest of the time it's just a constant dull ache in the top and right side of my head. It's been so bad that last night I got myself really worked up thinking I have to have cancer or a brain tumor, so my grandmother took me to the emergency room. Thankfully they weren't busy and I got in right away. My blood pressure was 150/90, I realize that's high but they said it was ok. The doctor tried to give me Motrin and send me home even though I told them a couple times that I've been taking Bayer Headache, Advil, Motrin, Excedrin, and a couple other store brand non-asprin type pills and NOTHING has given me any relief whatsoever. They gave me a percocet, which also did nothing for me.... I started crying and practically demanded a CAT scan when he tried to brush it off as a normal headache and send me home.. (even though he said because of my age and since I'm otherwise healthy that they didn't want to do it and expose me to unnecessary radiation & whatever)... So they tested my urine to make sure I'm not pregnant, did a CAT scan, said it was normal, gave me 3 percocet to take with me, said to go home and lay down in the dark.. Which I can't do 24/7 because I have things to do like anybody else... I KNOW headaches like this are not normal and there has to be something they're overlooking just because I have no insurance and they don't want to help me. Besides the headaches/migraines, I'm dizzy when I get up in the morning, my right eye is very blurry a lot of the time, my hands shake, I bruise very easily, I feel like an insomniac because I can't sleep when I need to.. I fall asleep around 7AM and wake up around 5PM, I'm always tired even though I sleep a lot... This is just driving me crazy and I don't know what to do. I'm going for my road test for my license in 12 days and I don't think I'll even be able to if I have such a terrible headache.. I just need ideas on what to do next since I wasted 6 hours at the ER and they say I'm fine. Could a vitamin deficiency possibly cause all of this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks if you read this far! Also I'm 21, 5'4, around 160lbs, and they ruled out diabetes, tumors, aneurysms, anything like that.. Please help!

Migraines have been linked to food allergies and particularly gluten (Celiac disease).  Gluten and nuts cause mine.

I have had migraines since I was a kid, and thank goodness I never tried to get treatment in the ER.  That's not where you are going to get a cause for your migraines.  Forcing them to give you a CT scan was very unwise due to the unfortunately high level of radiation they give.  They were trying to protect you.  You need to keep a food diary and you need to get blood tests for Celiac disaase.  Yes, nutritional deficiencies can cause migraines; that's why Celiac disease causes them.  You can take a whole--food supplement, but take a magnesium supplement also.

When you get a migraine, take your pain medication as soon as you realize it's a migraine.  Better to take Excedrine or Advil immediately than to wait an hour to get home and take a narcotic.

Save CT scans for emergencies from now on.

First of all you need to relax. Easier said than done I hear you say? Well first off  get yourself a couple of bananas. Eat them. Drink plenty of water during the day 1-2 liters a day.
Do breathing exercises , you inhale threw the nose and fill your lungs as full as you can get them and when you think it is beginning to hurt a tad bit, realease the air by blowing it out threw the mouth as if you were blowing threw a straw.
! breath is 1 and you count whilst doing the exercises from 1- 10 and with every breath you take you will relax. If you want you can put on smoothing realxing music.  All the while concentrating on and only on your breathing. If a thought should enter your mind , You have to start counting from 1 all over again. This will make you only concentrate on the breathing exercises.
You are working yourself up because of tests coming up.  This exercise will calm you down, decrease  if not take the pain in your head away completely.
You will be able to relax and your mind will become more clear. It will enable you to pass your test.
Headaches can be brought on by hyperventalating.

I have a hydorphaelus and my headaches I take care of totally by applying this method!  Eating a banana is to give your body potassium which it is lacking at that time.
Good luck luv . Hope this helps . It helped me enormously
