Mild foot drop/severe pain

Mild foot drop/severe pain

5 weeks ago I developed severe pain on the left side of my back that, over the course of 4 hours went from a nusance to unable to sit down, and within another 4 hours was unable to walk with no feeling from my knee through my big toe.  After 4 days, the back pain relieved itself almost instantly in my back.  But, the numbness in my knee through my toe remained and severe pain has also remained.  I noticed I couldn't lift my foot farther than flat with the floor.  Although I say the area was "numb", it was extremely painful with everything from tingles to burning to cramps to sharp shooting pains.  It also is extremely painful to flex my foot (like to a point).  I am getting slight improvement in being able to move my foot and the numbness is relieving itself slightly, but the pain is still very severe.  I am also pregnant.

I have seen a neurologist (I have only mild foot drop), and I had an MRI which indicated that my back was fine (no L4/L5 disk herniation which was suspected).  I am working with a chiropractor and doing acupuncture.  But the benefits are very slight.  The Neurologist indicated that a nerve convergence test would be the next step, but I'm not sure how that would help.

Is there any thing else I should be doing or any other specialist I should be seeing that may help.  I'm on T3s and Percocepts for the pain (taken sparingly given the pregnancy) and haven't slept much in 5 weeks.  It would be nice to be off the pain meds entirely and to have some hope that this may end.

Not sure what to do next to try to fix this.

Welcome to the site and the community. Although I am not able to help you with your specific question, please give it time. There will be
someone who cares and someone who can give you great advice. If you do not get a reply within two days, please repost your question/concern.
I know personally that this is a great place and it's all about people helping people, but because of every day life, sometimes with so many posts,
it is possible you might need to repost. If this is something that needs attention now, you can call for an appointment with your doctor, if it is not
an emergency go to urgent care (to save money) but if it is an emergency, please go to the ER. If this is something you are having anxiety over,
I have some basic but strong tips/techniques to use until you get help, please just message me and I will send them to you. Thank you and I
hope you are helped soon.
