Mitochondrial mypoathy

Mitochondrial mypoathy

Hi there.

Recently had a pretty invasive cardio pulmonary stress test (CPET) requring a swan ganz cath, central line and arterial line (test is only done two places in the world) showing I have a poor oxygen uptake at the cellular level. I also have reactive airway disease and hypothyroidism.

I've genuinely had respiratory failure with intermittant bouts of terrible negative inspiratory forces, but I clear up over time and go back to normal. I also have either severe anion gap acidosis, or lactic acidosis with severe hypoxia (PO2 39...) on oxygen.

Anyone else struggling with mitochondrial I'd love to talk to... For so long i've had doctors scratching their heads, and a few even telling me it's all in my head and i'm just anxious and there is nothing wrong... when come to find out... there truly is!
