More definative diagnosis

by fatjan, Aug 06, 2009 07:46AM
My latest diagnosis is degenerative cerebeller disorder. Mainly my issues are with balance (gait) and speech. I don't take any medication for my illness and am very frustrated. I have been using a scooter for about 2 years and that has caused me to gain weight and loose muscle strength. I am 55 and not ready to give up yet. I am not familiar with any local movement specialists and I noticed that it said thyroid (endocrine issues) can contribute to this. I have been to several neurologists, gotten different answers but yet my MRI's and other tests come out OK. What do you suggest?
