I was at the hospital because my head has been feeling like it's numb at the top and the sides of the head, I loose my balance and always sick to my stomach due to the dizzyness, I went for and MRI and was told that I do not have a tumour but that I have inflammation and I must for for further tests. My question is this: why would my brain be inflammed I have not had an accident or bumped my head. I still feel the same I am dizzy, sick to my stomach and loose my balance, sometimes I have headaches.

Based on the information you have provided, I am unsure where this inflammation is, therefore, I can not speculate as to what the cause is. However you can have inflammation in the brain from infections, and inflammatroy disorders of the brain. I would recommend that you contact your neurologist to get more specific information regarding what type of inflammation and where the inflammation is. The doctor should be able to tell you about possible diagnoses which are to be evaluated. Good luck.
