Motor Neurons Diesease

Hi, i am very curious about Motor Neurons Disease.  My Grandfather (mother's father) died some years ago from Motor Neurons Disease.  Is it heredity??

Hello.

Yes, ALS is hereditary. But only 5 -10 % cases are familial ALS. The chances  that one will have ALS increase a bit if there is a member in the family, usually a parent, who has ALS. Grandfather is a distant member. The chances are lower.
