Hi there. Treatment of peripheral neuropathy depends on the cause. Vitamin deficiencies can be corrected, diabetes controlled, neuropathies associated with immune diseases can improve with treatment of autoimmune disorder, nerve entrapment can be treated with physical therapy. Sympathetic injections can minimise shingles progressing to post herpetic neuralgia.  Medications like acetaminophen, ibuprofen, tricyclic antidepressants, carbamazepine, pregabalin etc can help depending on the indication. The various chemicals under study for treatment of frederich’s ataxia are 5-hydroxytryptophan, Coenzyme Q, and idebenone. Hope this helps. Take care.
