Mri for MS diagnosis result included cystic encephalomalacia ?

Hi,
I just received the results of my second mri, this one with a dye injected, the reason for the mri was to restage for evidence of disease to define ms. As well as increased T2 signals in various parts of the brain my results mention an area  with a cystic component consistent with an area of cystic encephalomalacia. I am diagnosed with a strong possiblity of ms, but am now wondering what this cystic encephalomalacia is and if it is something to worry about. I am an otherwise healthy 43 yr old female.

Thank you.
