I am a 22 year old male. In the summerSummers eve anti-itch of 2006 I suddenly developed UveitisUveitis after getting a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys bit of paint in my eye. The eye doctors said it was not related to the paint. I was treated with steroid drops and it subsided until Spring 2007 when I had another flare. It has since rarely caused any problems.
In February 2008 I began to have bladder problems. My symptoms seemed to correlate to drinking alcohol. It was a burning pain that was relieved upon urination, so I frequently used the bathroom. The urologist put me on a diet of non-acidic foods and told me to stay away from alcohol and to do kegelKegel exercises exercises. I improved, but I still have frequency and urgency. I have had a cystoscopy and uro-dynamics test, which were both okay.
Starting in March 2009 I began to feel slightly off balance. When I walk, I feel as if I am swaying. My legs also feel tense and heavy. Is this spasticity? I have numbnessNumbness and tingling in my hands at night, my skin is sensitive to the touch and sometimes hurts. I have ringing in my ears, photophobia, and burning and tingling throughout my body. I also have a flash of light in my eye at night when I hear a sudden sound. My eye doctor also said my eyes were fine.
I have been tested for lyme disease several times, cat scratch disease, and syphillis. Most recently, I had some blood work done and everything was okay including my thyroid, b12, folate etc. My WBC was low 3.2. I am also concerned because my lymphocyte was a 1.00 and my uric acid was 3.4. I have read that all of these things could be related to MS.
I had an MRI on my brain, neck, and spine. No lesions. My neuro exam was fine. I am becoming very frustrated because here is no clinical evidence that there is anything wrong.
I also have to mention that I have been under a lot of stress and anxiety. What other diseases could cause these problems? Stress? Where do i go from here? Are my symptoms typical for MS? Any help would be appreciated.
