Do I have an overall muscle problem?
Changed cholesterol (satin) medication around 2003-4 when blood test revealed a reduction in bodies muscle enzime. Currently on a non-satin medication. Developed PMR in shoulders Dec. 2006. Subsequently treated for rheumatoid arthritis. Numbness in calves of both legs followed. MRI lower back Aug 2008; no conclusions. Severe occasional pain left knee fall 2008. Orthopedic doctor review of leg(Mar. 2009); exercise routine involved several stretch exercises. Knee x-ray revealed no cartledge on inner mating bone parts. Pain disappeared and numbness greatly reduced. May 8,2009 woke up with severe intermittent pain just below right knee, sore muslels upper right thigh and sore spot above right buttox at belt line. Pain below knee restricted walking on leg and/or bending over to pick up objects off floor. Stopped exercises. Discovered that heavy use(work on my knees and forcing bending over) relieved my sore right leg eventually. Pain below knee not a problem but cautious of bending over using right side. Back to Orthopedic Dr in June. X-ray right knee revealed a mended broken knee( probably when I was 12 years old; no knee problems over the years. Dr. observed slight atrophy of leg muscle outer side upper leg. To start series of leg strengthening exercises.
I have always been a very active person and until the PMR did not have any aches or pains.
This discussion is related to numbness in left last 2 fingers and one side of hand, both feet numb. HELP??.
