A L5 bulging disc could cause you to have weaknessWeakness, numbness, and other strange sensations in your legs, but I don't think it would cause muscle fasciculations. I'm afraid that ALS is indeed a possibility. Have you had an EMG on your legs? What about a nerve conduction study?
