Muscle fasciculations - 2 weeks now

Hello,
I am a 20 year old male, use to be active but not anymore due to finding out I have Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia. I thought these fasciculations came from the beta blockers I am taking however I have been taking these meds way before these symptoms started. Two weeks ago I started my day and noticed I was fatigued. I felt like in two days the flu was going to hit me in full force (no sneezing, coughing, fever though) just weakness. My arms felt weak and so did my legs. It had a very uncomfortable uneasiness to them. That lasted for about a week and a little bit until now(milder). I also noticed muscles around my knee (right next, under, anywhere close to my knee) were shaking during these weak periods when I would stand straight. That went away however it was replaced with fasciculations. I get them randomly but frequently. At first it was just a muscle twitch but now that I have noticed it has been at the same spots (with the occasional random spot elsewhere) that it is starting to concern me. I have read symptoms of ALS and it seems to fit the description which worries me. The spot that had fasciculations use to just feel like twitches but now it has more of a tickling(not tingly but tickling on the inside) feeling when it twitches which is making me wonder if that means my motor neurons or my muscles are wearing away. I intend to speak to my Primary care doctor however it is the weekend and I will have to wait. What can this be? I do not have stress as I have had stress tests before to rule out causes of my current Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia condition.

Summary: I have fasciculations in one small spot next to my knee frequently and all over my body as well just more than half as less frequently. So if you would have to put in a ratio, that "special" spot would twitch three times before any other muscle twitches. The special spot now has a tickling feeling when I work the muscle or my whole leg a certain way (sitting down and shaking my leg with my ankle up in the air and my toes on the floor; not sure how to describe this online but I see many other people do it as well).

edit; I have just remembered something I forgot to mention. These fasciculations were really bad when one night I was laying in bed about to sleep and my buttox and my left side had fasciculations. My left arm, my left leg, and my butt had fasciculations. They shook like they were being worked or held in a position that was making them shake from fatigue (the same effect when you are trying to finish that last repetition at the gym with weights). I took a walk and it seemed to go away enough for me to fall asleep.

Thank you

just an update of what is going on. I now have fasciculations randomly all over, but of course they are subject to appear in the same areas again over and over. There are some muscles that have not had fasciculations (knock on wood) but I can say that not only one group of muscles vibrate, though it seems as though some groups twitch more often and longer than others. I was just referred to a neurologist by my GP but it is the weekend so it wont be until after this weekend I will be able to schedule an appointment with the neurologist and who knows how long after that there will be an opening. i still do have muscle fatigue, when i walk it feels like my legs want to give out or buckle but at the same time it seems as though it is only half weak-feeling and the other half of my strength is still there, very strange sensation; a better way of describing this is, the weakness makes me feel as though if i tried to walk up a flight of stairs i could not do it, but when i do walk up the flight of stairs i can do it. these fasciculations are not anxiety related i am 100% sure, i can be having the time of my life or out with friends and these fasciculations still show up. I ignore them when i am out and hanging around even. i also noticed no one has gotten a chance to answer, does anyone happen to know any input? i also do not think these are related to stress as i have taken a 24-hour urine test and results came back normal for hormones. i also did not have any virus exposure i do not believe because i do not recall being sick before i got these symptoms or during, i felt totally healthy one day and another day the fatigue started.

Fasciculations can be benign (they have no underlying cause) or they can be caused by many other things for example vitamin deficeinces and problems with thyroid function.
The fact that you say your muscles feel weak but still have the strength to do things makes me think that's not muscle atrophy or ALS.
It still could be a side effect from the beta blockers that you are taking, sometimes the side effects can take a while to kick in.
I hope you find some answers soon, take care

You need a full lab work-up first to rule out other causes. If beta blockers can cause this stop the med to see if it helps. Sinus tach (how fast) is usually not life threatening.
