Muscles spasms returning...

Last year, my 9 year old son had tremendous nerve pain behind his left knee and suffered from muscles spasms in his arms and legs...After 4 months, they disappeared and he had PT...Now the muscles spasms have returned...He complained of shivering, but not being cold on Sunday in his arms...Then his legs started doing the same...Now they continually spasm causing his legs to become weak and he cannot walk unless he has help...Currently undergoing an eeg, but so far nothing is showing up...

Any ideas?  Especially since the spasms are increasing in intensity...

Thanks

Hi,

Your son’s symptoms warrant a complete neurological exam and tests like CT scan and MRI. It will help us to know the results of his neurological exam.
The cause can be from most benign like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and peripheral neuropathy to serious causes like MS, ALS etc.
Please consult a neurologist as soon as you can.

Take care!
