My Body is Aching, my eyes are sore, my head hurts everytime I move

Hi,

I went to my doctor yesterday but I decided to do some research on line as I wasn't completely satisfied with her results.

Yesterday Morning I woke up feeling a bit nauseus. That passed as the day went on. As I was sitting in my office in a training course, I noticed my body was getting this weird feeling. Like I could feel it gradually stiffining from my toes up as I sat there and listened. My Neck started to become very stiff and sore.
By the time I left my office at 330, my eyes were sore whenever I moved them from side to side.  The light from the sun outside hurt.  My head started hurting even more.

Its now the next day in the A.M and my headache hasn't subsided at all. The doctor gave me Migraine pills, but this headache is different. Its in the back of my head. My eyes can't be touched,Their very tender still and when I move my head or my eyes from side to side my neck, higher back and head hurts!!

My body is still aching - I got up to get water and I couldn't really stand straight - felt this reallly weak sharp sensation in in my legs.

My doctor said that she thinks I just have a body cold of some sort, and possibly a migraine. I've never had migraines before, although they are known to effect a few people in my family.   Also a couple months ago I broke my Coccyx (the tip of my tailbone) by falling down some stairs. It seems fine now though.   I also started Birth Control for the First time (I'm 30).

Do you think it could be the side effects of Birth Control?
Sever Migraine?

I'm interested to know what all your takes on this.  I took the day off work and cannot get out of bed.

Thanks kindly.

Beejes

I had the same symptoms when I was 12,except that I had a really high fever, and I couldn't eat and if o tried to get up,I would fall.
I'm 14 and have the same thing happening, it's hot but it's cold and my head is pounding so hard I can barely open my eyes. I took three naps because I'm extremely tired and thought it would help but I just feel worse

so..i just searched through the internet to find some clues of what may be wrong with me..I also have similar symptoms..but it's not as bad as it sounds. 2 days ago, my head suddenly ached  but it wasn't serious. I don't know if i have migraine or what but, i've experienced having head aches for 2 days or more. But I usually just shrug it off..cause normally, i'd be fine after. so this time, i'm having muscle aches and head ache. It's the same feeling of having a fever, the difference is, i don't have a fever. Last night actually, i had the same thing, but I noticed that the next day, it would usually just disappear as if nothing happened to me. But when i woke up this morning, it was worse. I decided not to take a bath since i was also (still) feeling cold. I'm thinking this is probably because of stress,(but why did it only happen to me now)
My lips were also very dry and cracked(if that made sense). I also go to a school that requires a lot of energy since we have to go to different buildings that are far from each other, and the area is mountainous.
I am also not having proper meals, especially breakfast.

but, i can still stand up properly, but my legs would slightly shake.
I'm a 16 year old girl..

Get to a doctor!  This could be very serious.  These sound like symptoms of either viral or bacterial meningitis(which could be fatal) and both are contagious.  It is more common in children so adults aren't diagnosed as often.  It could be caused by the injury you sustained from the broken coccyx. The symptoms are a stiff neck, eye soreness, nausea, fever, fatigue and other flu-like symptoms.  Check out these websites:  http://children.webmd.com/vaccines/tc/meningitis-topic-overview,  http://www.cdc.gov/meningitis/about/faq.html

It may be a migraine. It isn't causing  a headache because its different veins that are swollen.

Migraines are headaches that can cause sensitivity to light and sound. They may also cause nausea and dizziness. They are also very terribly painful

I get them constantly, I found that the best thing to do ( also suggested by my doctor) Was to talk some tylenol go into a dark room and sleep it off, or take some excedrine. Try to avoid television, caffeine, texting, computers, etc.

Hi I been having these weird symptoms for years now. I get these horrible painful headache and i always feel lightheaded when I get them. When I move my eyes It makes it hurt worse and also light or noise makes it worse. Sometimes when i take some tylenol and a nap it will help for a few hours, but it always seems to come back. I had a few people tell me it could be vertigo? or stress? But if anyone has any info please let me kno. Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
It will help us to know if you have suffered from viral infection like common cold recently. Viral infections are followed by chronic fatigue syndrome which is characterized by headaches and generalized aches and pains. The exact cause is not known.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronic_fatigue_syndrome

Birth control pills can cause headaches and migraines of varying severity in women; however they are less likely to cause generalized aches and pains. I would suggest you to take OTC pain killers for headache and take rest. If the symptoms fail to subside please consult your GP and discuss this possibility.

Thanks
