Take a look at this
"When Will We See the Doctor?

You will most likely visit your child's doctor with your infant at least once every two months until your baby is about six months old. Not all doctors follow this routine, though, so be sure to ask your own child's doctor for his or her well-baby checkup schedule.

Your infant is seen regularly to assess growth, feeding, and sleeping habits, among other things. These regular checkups also provide opportunities for your child's doctor to check up on any areas of concern that may have been uncovered at your baby's previous checkup and for you to ask any questions you have about your baby's health or behavior."

"What Will Happen at the Office Visit?

When you visit your child's doctor during these early months, he or she will be checking your baby's progress and growth. Here are some of the more common components of a checkup:

    * Weight, length, and head circumference measurements that are plotted on your baby's own growth chart
    * A physical examination with special attention to any previous problems uncovered
    * Assessment of physical and emotional development (for example, your baby's head control, vision, and social interaction)
    * Questions about how you are doing with your baby
    * Advice about feeding, vitamins, and other aspects of nutrition

    * What to expect during the coming months, including a discussion of babyproofing your home
    * Your baby will receive immunizations during some visits (see below)."
This ia excerpt from the website below

Your baby may have a "global response" to vaccines.  Inquire as to the ingredients in the vaccines used if your baby was immunizxed at 2 months.  Some of these vaccinnes contained mercury and other elements that your baby may be allergic to. My little newphew developed autism, the autism developed after he was immunized. He also had some neurological symptoms that affected his walking and speech development also his left hand curled up at his side.
If this is the case, a clay bath may help.  You can check amazon.com to purchase detoxing clay bath.  I am also in the process of taking a clay bath for detoxing from poisoning from mercury filings.  I am also giving my son a clay bath to detox him as he may have received mercury from my fillings while in my womb. He too had similar symptoms while still a baby, I wish I knew this 15 years ago!  This may not be your case but information is power!
Cheers

vega thanks for your  answer. I think that in our country there are no  sleep specialists only neurologists. We are at the best doctor in our country still she does not know what this thing is.   I hope that he  outgrows it . He does not develeop at right he is a few months behind. He had been given  many medicines  that made him sleep or just tired and when this thing comes he in in this state for hours then sleeps a lot so much time he looses . I hope you understand what I mean. Sometimes he is so weak that he cannot tur onto his stomach.

thanks for your answer. My baby is 9 month old he started it at about 2 months old.
he has had thousands of examinations ( many EEGs, video eeg as well, MRI , ) still doctors do not know what it is.

First they thougt that he had epilepsy but is is not that. The saturation is perfect during this'thing' so they say that it soes not danmage his brain. But he gets very very tired  when he fibishes with this after long hours. No medicine does any good to him at all .

My big problem is that noone knows what it is   so noone knows what to do. My baby cannot develop  properly as he is in this 'state' for much time afterwars he sleeps very much.

yes, this is strange.  I'm glad that the doctors have it on tape.   Perhaps, you should have a second (or third) opinion at a large academic center.  But, if you think your baby is developing completely normally otherwise, then perhaps, he will outgrow it?  Could it be some sort of a sleep disorder?  a special sleep medicine doctor (usually a neurologist as well) may be able to give you more answers.  This may not be seizure activity but a special sleep study may be needed.  I hope you find some answers.

P.S.  don't delay at having this evaluated -- if your child is truly having seizures for hours -- it is very dangerous as it may damage his/her brain.

you should go to a medical center that can keep you for overnight or 24hr EEG (electroencephalogram) to see if these behaviors are or are not epileptic.  Alternatively, this may be Sandifer's syndrome or (sorry, but it's true) childhood masturbation which is common and not alarming.  But an EEG at the time of this activity can clarify this further.
