My neurologist cant tell what's wrong with me! I feel my brain is on fire!

hi

i am growing frustated over my recent symptoms. I have been having burning sensation which rose from my feet to my arms and back of head and it is gone in 10 minutes. It happened 3 times within 2 weeks. My blood pressure rose from 120 to 160 and back to 120.

The sensation is mild now but it comes on for a few minutes at night especially in the head! I have some slight dull headache on left and pressure on head but it is not painful. However i have mild nausea and giddiness since 3 weeks for an hour every day! I have chest pain though.

I am sensitive to light sometime but no aura is seen.

I have tingling sensation all over ( neck , arm , leg) everyday.

My potassium & magnesium level is ok , my blood count is ok , my echocardiogram result is ok and i do not have thyroid problem. My stroke screen MRI scan is ok (they do spot a small space with no mass effect but say it is no cause for worry as blood flow in neck and brain is normal) and my family do not have any history of illness.

I do not wish to do another scan. Could it be meningitis?

I consulted 2 neurologist who dismiss it as anxiety.

What is wrong with me?  Some kind soul please advise me. I am only 26 male and i want to move on in life!!

Melvin

I have been dealing with very similar problems for decades.  I'm 52.  I was a promiscuous homosexual in my 20's and 30's, but have left that life style.  I associate the burning in my brain with my earlier self inflicted sexual abuse.  I have never been able to get a doctor to help me.  I am very healthy, except I can not process the common cold well and I get sick for 3 or 4 months at a time and the burning brian and a systemic buzzing or swarming accompanies this. My internist, neurologist, and an infectious disease doctor all have not been able to help me and relegate this to stress which is irritating to me.  I have felt for years that I'm dealing with a parasite of some sort.  It used to be MUCH worse.  So in a way, it has been getting better over the years.  I a few months ago I started taking diatomaceous earth (perma-guard brand from earthworkshealth.com).  Look this stuff up.  It kills and clears parasites out of the intestinal tract, but it's not a chemical.  It is actually good for you.  It is commonly fed to farm animals to rid them of parasites and it is good for their skin and fur and health over all.  If you look it up you will see that it is safe for people.  Because of my history, I felt that I would at least feel better to know that my digestive tract is clean and free of parasites.  DE did improve my health and I do believe it cleaned out some parasites from my digestive tract.  I'm eating better (not gorging and am more satisfied) and I suspect my cholesterol will go down as this is one of the benefits claimed of DE.  However, I"m still having the burning cycle in my brain.  I was hoping that it was related to the cycle of digestive parasites and the eggs do travel in the body.  I've only been taking the DE for month and half and if dealing with worms, they say a full three months before it catches all the eggs in the cycle, so maybe it will actually still help with the brain burning.  I'm not going to hold my breath though.  This hasn't killed me and I've been dealing with it for 25 years!
