My son with chest pain

My son is 12 years old and is having chest pain. I am a RN and at first assumed it to be costochondritis. We started Ibuprofen and such. It has now continued for approximately 5 weeks and is worsening. He also feels weak in his legs and dizzy. This has all continued to worsen over the last 1 1/2weeks. He had a normal CBC, TSH, CK and BMP. His chest x-ray looked good. He also had an echo and EKG done, that were normal. He just had a chest CT done that was normal. I know, typically, there is a minor reason for the chest pains. But, he is missing school, as he is too "weak" to walk from class to class. The pain wakes him up all night. And he moans in his sleep. No pain meds have touched the pain for him. I just don`t know what to think anymore??? Was wondering about a pinched nerve or something.   Thanks, worried mom

Hello , a pinched nerve will affect one leg not both, have you seen an internal medicine specialist, the CBC, TSH, CK and BMP do not cover everything , some diseases are detected via one enzyme or hormone finding, i suggest you see an internal medicine consultant specialist and brief him about the symptoms......as for the pain in the legs it could be sought by an orthopedic and a vascular surgeon now i have come to know....

One last thing if you could have see another cardiologist to ensure nuthing is wrong with his heart at another hospital or facility , seeing two different specialist are better than one.....hope the cause is found and treated as soon as possible
