Myasthenia MRI

Hi All,
I'm new here and I'm looking for some advice. I went to my Dr with a ptosis on the left eyelid, evident since dec 08. I also have a twitching left thumb, occasional burning and swelling of the left hand and extreme lethargy. He then refered me to a neurologist who sent me for blood tests and an MRI. I got a letter asking me to come to a Dr appointment in Dec for the results. Do you think they would leave it until then to tell me? If it is not Myasthenia, an ideas what else it could be?
Thanks in advance :)
