Myathensia Gravis?

Myathensia Gravis?

I am 28 and have had muscle weakness and cramping along with mild spasms off and on now for 9 months.  I have always been active and healthy until this and now my muscles get fatigued easily during routine activities.  Somedays it is better and somedays it is worse.  It seems to go for a couple of weeks and then come back with the same weakness.  It is mainly in my arms and legs but sometimes it comes in my neck muscles in the front and sometimes in the back of my neck.  They get sore and tired feeling over all of these muscle groups.  I have seen a neurologist and had a clear MRI and passed an EMG.  Should I ask for blood work checking for MG.

Thanks,

Derek

Hello.

A characteristic feature of Myasthenia Gravis is that if you repeatedly use a muscle for some time, it gets progressively weaker. And after a period of rest, you gain the strength. But it will be better if you get the MG evaluation done.

You may also consider chronic fatigue syndrome as an alternative diagnosis if the MG workup is negative.
