Myelogram nerve damage

Myelogram nerve damage

Hello,
I had a myelogram around 1985. During the procedure the doctor inserted the needle into my back and hit something that made me black out and come off the table. When the table tilted down, I slid down. Needless to say after that procedure, I was miserable for a long time. I could not lift my head up off the couch for a long time and sitting was out of the question for a long time.
I have had CT scans since then and been told the dye is still in my back. For about the last year now I have been experiencing a sensation in my legs that feels like a tingle and I stop dead in my tracks when I am walking. It used to only happen when I got out of the car but now happens at other times. The feeling rushes up my legs and then explodes in my hips and it feels like my legs are going to go collapse from under me.
Is this from nerve damage caused by the myelogram? MRI's of my back only show a hemangioma present which is not the problem as it is like a birth mark. Did the needle puncture cause the hemangioma or the trouble I now have? It seems to be getting progressively worse.

Thanks,
Edithdell
