Myelomalacia

My father's MRI report reads as below:

Gross Degenerative change in the Cervical Spine with Osteophyte formation and Disc Degeneration at multiple levels.

C3-4 Disc protrusion is causing significant thecal sac compression with spinal canal narrowing and myelomalacia.

C4-5 diffuse disc bulge is causing mild thecal sac compression and bilateral neural foraminal narrowing.

He is 59 years olad and had four accidents. Could you please explain what it means and how to cure it?

Thanks in advance.
