Myoclonic jerks -- signs of ALS?

by Tsheet, Nov 09, 2007 09:44AM
Are Myoclonic and/or Hypnagogic night jerks -- the kind you get right before you fall asleep a sign of ALS.....

I also have muscle twitches in the legs and a right eye lid twitch.... no real weakness of muscles...

myoclonus is not necessarily a sign of ALS - can be any number of far more benign issues. I have myoclonus daily, but ALS ws ruled out long while back. It (ALS) progresses pretty quickly too.  What other sypmtoms do you have? Have you seen a doc yet?
