Myoclonic jerks question

I've been having a problem lately (last 6 months) with RLS or Myoclonic jerks. Not sure which, but an interesting thing I noticed yesterday.

I was lying on my back with my knees up and my feet hooked under my husbands leg beside me.  Usually when my legs are out straight I will get an immense deep ache in my thighs and then my legs jump out, then I'm fine til the next one.

Well...this time since my feet were hooked under my husbands leg, my upper body spasmed instead.

So this has my thinking...is this RLS or myoclonic jerks or something totally different?  Since it cant' be pinned down to a specific body part (which I always assumed it was)

Restless leg syndrome, is characterized by an irresistible urge to move one’s body to stop ucomfortable or odd sensations. it mostly affects the legs, but can affect the arms, torso and even phantom limbs.  There is temporary relief when one moves the affected body part. sensations felt are burning, itching, or tickling in the muscles. Myoclonus on the other hand is brief involuntary twitching of a muscle or group of muscles. It is usually a sign and not a diagnosis, caused by sudden muscle contractions. These are sign of various neurological disorders.  Consult a neurologist to evaluate you clinically for the correct diagnosis and relevant therapy.
