Thank you very much DR Mathur
Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. Yes, gait issues can come up due to neuropathy or myopathy. This happens due to knee locking caused by misalignment of the bones and muscles around the knee. Also, with neuropathy, the sensations associated with walking decrease. This also affects the gait. Muscles and leg cramps can also be due to dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, intermittent claudication due to clots/thrombus in blood vessels, or due to muscle fatigue. I suggest you consult your doctor to rule out these causes. Also, please consult a physiotherapist to strengthen the muscles of your limbs.
Hope this helps. Take care!
