NOT SURE WHERE OT GO FOR THIS. EYE/VISION/PAIN IN HEAD BUT NOT MIGRANE(migraine)

There was no category for vision that I could find.  I have a phenomenon that happens every so often where I have temporary partial vision loss in one eye.  I get kind of a spot like you looked into a bright light which turns into a small kaleidoscope electrical field looking thing which grows throughout the phenomenon.  By the end of it I have a nice sized blind spot in my left eye filled with that colorful field kaleidoscope looking thing.  It lasts about an hour and I get a pain sometimes in the opposite side of my head.  I have migraines which I know all to well and this is not a migraine.  I know the vision loss you can get with them.  This is different.  Do I have reason to be alarmed?  I am pregnant as well now and have a fear of losing consciousness.  I have had a very bad episode of it once where I was assessed as a stroke but did not have this assessment until several hours after the phenomenon.  Please if you have any advice let me know.  I also have EPS and a few other neurological problems if that helps. Sorry to hear you are having these symptoms.

I would schedule an appointment with a neurologist for continued follow up of your symptoms.  Also maybe you should schedule an appointment with an ophthalmologist also to do an evaluation for optic neuritis as well.

I would certainly would have further testing such as an MRI of the brain.
