NUMBNESS AND WEAKNESS AND WORRIED !

Ok, Here goes...I pray someone can help me figure this out ! Here are my symptoms...very weak abdominal muscles, extreme lower back pain and muscles feel as though they are being ripped off my hips...worse on left..also left hip feels like there is a knife deep inside the hip joint. Slight scoliosis out of nowhere...I think if abdominal muscles are weak, it will pull hip & back muscles, but not sure, sinse scoliosis is a factor as well ( I don't know what the curve degree is). Cannot lean side to side, nor can I stand on left hip, because my right hip will pull me over...now, I don't know if this is nerve related,. or caused by nerve damage.Weakness in arms and legs- most profound on left arm, as my left forearm muscle has shrunk and is noticibly atrophic looking. It gets weak and heavy- have noticed this for a couple of yrs, but really bad now. I also have abdominal weakness and cannot feel myself when I push to go to the bathroom..sometimes incomplete bowel movements because I cannot push it out- not constipated, just numb.& weak. I feel the urge to go every morning, just feels numb from the inside of my tummy and mid back to sacrum area. I am getting scared, because I don't know the cause. I had c5-c6 spinal fusion in 10-08 & have had a hard time swallowing ever since & my throat feels very hard when I  touch my neck. I ususally choke up pills, because it feels like I am swallowing glass. The surgeon said "surgery was non-invasive", so he won't even look at it. I noticed hip & back probs seemed to start after surgery & after phys therapist performed "spinal manipulation" I have had standard xrays, And nothing showed up. I wonder if it is vagus nerve damage...I have also beed dx'd w/ I.S.T. 4 months ago. I took levaquin 12-06 & developed peripheral neuropathy in fingers- burning & itching- still have it. I have been taking 1-2 10 mg lortab almost everyday for the last yr. It does'nt help much, but takes the edge off so I can work and walk and stand. I am in severe pain. I know narcotics can slow down digestion, but can they make abdominal muscles go to mush ? My abdomen feels like a waterbed underneath. My dr says I have muscle loss & only found a vit d deficiency, but should'nt be enough to cause all this. Please, someone, help ! I dont' have insurance & am worried sick ! Could it be nerve damage from the spine ? I have a big hump-mass on the left side of my spine.

I'm far from knowing what is causing your problem.  But look up cushing's disease and scoliosis.  It's one possibility, probably among many.  At least it will give you someplace to start.  Sorry I can't be of more help.  Good luck finding answers.  Just keep reposting - and eventually someone will respond, hopefully with some answers.

THANK YOU ! I appreciate your response. I am going back to the dr tomorrow- get tired of it b/c if these problems were addressed before when I went several times, I don't think it would have gotten to this point. My main concern is the abdminal numbness ,  am hoping tomorrow he can get me to an er to have some xrays & tests done. I am worried sick ! I have researched scoliosis & I know that nerve problems are a very real possibility...my scoliosis has never been addressed, 3 drs and not one has even implicated that it could be a factor. I know most probs began after my surgery.  think surgeoh hit some spinal nerves....thanks for answering & the support !!
