NUMBNESS IN MIDDLE FINGER OF LEFT HAND

by jdoug6, Sep 21, 2009 10:13PM
Approximately six weeks ago, I lifted a heavy plastic grocery bag, placing inordinate weight on the middle finger of my left hand while carrying the bag. The duration could not have exceeded two minutes. The finger became numb. I assumed that the circulation had been impeded and that the finger had 'gone to sleep.' Today, tingling remains in the tip and pad areas of the finger.

If I damaged some nerves, will they replenish themselves. If so, how long?

Thanks.
