Name of medical specialty

My daughter has a glioneuronal tumor that was partially resected in 2007.  The laminectomy of seven vertibre has left her spine/posture severely compromised and we need to see a specialist for spinal abnormalities.  What is the name of the medical doctor who we would see.

Thanks for using the forum. I am happy to address your questions, and my answer will be based on the information you provided here. Please make sure you recognize that this forum is for educational purposes only, and it does not substitute for a formal office visit with a doctor.

We are not able to answer your question directly. It seems that your daughter should see a neurosurgeon or spine orthopedist. I would suggest going to a large academic medical center given the extent of your daughter’s prior laminectomy.

Thank you for this opportunity to answer your questions, I hope you find the information I have provided useful, good luck.
