Neck & Low Back Pain; Shaky Hands

Hello,
I am a 33 year old female and have generally good health.  However, over the past couple of years, I have been experiencing neck pain as well as low back pain (lumbar spine and sacrum); and, lately, I have had shakiness in my hands and slight loss of bladder control.  I am concerned that these may be signs of spinal compression or a serious neurological condition (such as Parkinson's disease).  My work as a yoga teacher requires me to use my body everyday; so, I would like to hear any suggestions about what course-of-action to follow.
Thank you.

Hi.

It would be premature to say that you are experiencing symptoms of Parkinson's disease, especially without a complete neurological examination being performed. Your symptoms are non-specific and could be related to a lot of conditions, including nerve compression secondary to a spine disorder or injury.

It might be best if you refrained from any activity that would put undue stress on your spine until you have had the chance to consult a neurologist.

Good luck.

It does seem possible that a cervical spondylosis or nerve impingement may be responsible for your symptoms.  Consult a neurologist as early as possible.
