Neck and shoulder

the other morning i felt a small discomfort in my right shoulder when i moved to try and stretch it it became very painful burning stabbing like feeling in my shoulder and neck  i had pain down my right arm and my right hand was numb now it is just my right index finger but the pain in my shoulder and neck is almost unbarible,my wife has massaged me me with heat rub and have been using the heating pad now for a week i have gouttoo could this have something to do with my pain please respond wuickly as i need help badly.

Hi.

Gout does cause joint problems. But in your case, I would to advise MRI of the cervical spine, as the pain pattern suggests a cervical spine problem. And see a Neurologist for a complete examination.
