Hi slickaroo,
How are you doing now? Before you start taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you frequently drink alcohol or alcohol-containing beverages, heart attack, heart failure that is treated with medications, kidney or liver or thyroid disease, pregnant or trying to get pregnant or breast-feeding.
Side effects that you should report to doctor as soon as possible are breathing difficulties or shortness of breath, dizziness, muscle aches or pains, severe vomiting or diarrhea, unusual stomach pain or discomfort.
You should always be aware of symptoms of hypoglycemia namely dizziness, fainting etc.
Lyrica affects chemicals in the brain that send pain signals across the nervous system. It is used to treat pain caused by nerve damage in people with diabetes (diabetic neuropathy).
