Hi there!

Sural nerve is a sensory nerve of the lower limb and neuropathy refers to nerve damage. Since the nerve does not have motor function, there may be little symptoms, though care should be taken to prevent trauma in the region supplied, which the patient may not be able to feel.
Hope this information is helpful.

Take care!
