Nerves cut during surgery

Nerves cut during surgery

I have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome on both sides due to cervical ribs.  I had surgery on the right side, which was supposed to be followed by the left side, but have not due to nerves being cut.  The surgeon told me I had a set of extra nerves in my neck and he had to cut through some of them.

My problem is this.  I have burning, shooting pain in my scapula all the way around to the front of my clavical.  I can't stand to have clothing, sheets or anything touch me in that entire area.  Is this ever going to get better?  Is there something that will help.  I am on Gabapentin, Morphine, Percocet, Cymbalta.

Anyone that can help or has any answers that may help I would appreciate it.  This is 3 years now that I am living with it & I am on disability only 42.

Hi,

Thanks for writing and sorry to hear about your condition.

It will help us in knowing if your medications provide you with any relief. If none at all you may want to opt for alternate therapies like acupressure, acupuncture, and biofeedback.

Thanks
