Neuro Pain Meds CAUSE MS
I am a 43 year old male, married father of 3 with chronic Hep-C X20 years and high blood pressure. Interferon treatments, 2X, produced a short-term drop in viral load, but the disease returned. No high risk behavior.
I have been taking Opioid pain medication (Oxycontin 240 mg tid  + Fentynal TransDermal Patch 75mcg/hr q 72hrs + OXY IR 30-60 mg. prn - {accurate dosages}) for chronic back pain for a decade. I have also been prescribed Large amounts of Neurontin (2X400mg bid.) to treat this pain.
Recently (6mo.) I had been getting dizzy a lot. Also, I notice a strange smell (mediciney, or slightly rotten) and have experienced Deja Vu quite often and intensely.
I've had an MRI done and the diagnosis was "Scattered 2-3mm foci, suggesting MS, or other demyelinating disease." I live in an area where Lyme disease is NOT endemic.

Question: Could Neurontin, Trileptal, or Dilantin have caused these lesions? Even if it is naturally occurring MS, what other symptoms can I expect?
