Neurological Symptoms...worried please help

by tarapags1107, Apr 14, 2006 12:00AM
Hi I am new to this forum. First of all, it all started out with a weird rash.  I had the rash come and go and have them constantly now.  My doctor said I had a butterfly rash and checked me for lupus. However, the ANA test turned out negative twice. I started having muscle twiches everywhere in my body with some hot flashes and nightsweats. Test results from PCP for hiv/hepatitis were negative. The twitches are CONSTANTLY in my abdomen. PCP has done all lab work possible including ANA,lyme, hiv, liver profile, electrolytes, Calcium and magnesium, wbc, thyroid, minerals (B12 and the rest),hormones (estrogen, progestin, testosterone, lutenizing, and follicle stimulating, and pregnancy tests)and everything has come back normal! It feels like my arteries/veins are twitching also in neck neck! I am worried about ALS and have seen a neuro who said my symtoms were probably BFS. He is going to do an emg on me in 2wks. Is there anything that causes twitching in the abdomen like tumor/vessel related? I am so scared and nervous. It feels as if I have a baby kicking in my stomach and it never goes away. I have also been really hot lately(throughout entire winter!) with low grade fever 99.1 when I see my PCP. I also feel like I produce alot of saliva. I pretty much don't see living past 30years old with whatever this mystery diagnosis is.  I am constantly fatigued and bothered by my never ending twitches in my abdomen. I also have some in my head and a strange feeling in my ear sometimes. The only medication I'm on is birth control pills and blephamide for my eyes. Thanks for listening. Tara

Muscle twitching in the absence of msucle weakness and wasting is unlikelt to be ALS. Muscle twitching can also be caused by an overactive thyroid gland, exposure to cold or exercise, certain medications, some viral infections, and rarely problems in the spinal cord like a syrinx. There is also the benign fasciculation syndrome that can occur with or without cramps.
Nerves that supply the skin and muscles of the abdomen come from the thoracic spine area, so it might be reasonable to do an MRI of this area.
Although I do not know your case fully, nothing suggests to ne that you are going to die from these symptoms, and I would try to decrease your anxiety about this - talk to your doctor or perhaps see a psychologist.

Good luck

Okay I have the same things going on with me. Sorry about spelling and gramer.  I have had all kinds of test and still having them. Mine started when I was about 15 years old and now I just made it to 46.  So yes you are going to live, I will not lie and say that it will be easy, for it is not. You hurt all the time, always sleepy. And just plainly feel like ****.
Well it sounds like some of it is Fybromyalga. Sorry I can't spell the word.

by heart2heart, Apr 14, 2006 12:00AM
It sounds like muscular twitching to me...the kind my eyelid gets sometimes when I'm tired. I'm not sure if this means anything or not. Are you getting enough sleep? These twitchings can occur from fatigue and lack of sleep. What does your doctor say about them? If you're getting strange feelings in your head and worried about a vascular problem ask to have an MRA of your head done.

by Pinky61, Apr 14, 2006 12:00AM
You might want to ask your PCP to go ahead and run a rheumatology panel since you have rashes and low grade fever. You can still have lupus even with a negative ANA, although it's much less common. You may even just ask for a referral to a rheumatologist since they are more likely than a PCP to be knowledgable about the rarer forms of collagen vascular disease. Good luck!

I am currently being treated for Hepititus C. I have relapsed twice on Interferon therapy.I am currently on Pegasys maintainence. A huge problem for me is numbness in my legs & feet, causing many falls. This has been going on for the past 3-4 yrs., but seems to be getting much worse. I have seen 2 Neurologists, an Orthopedic Surgeon & a Neurological Surgeon. I have had all the tests. MRI'S, Catscans, EMG, X-Rays.No one can come up with a diagnosis. Has anyone else on the board experienced any part of this?

Hi,
Have you been to your gyn? The stomach is very close to the uterus area. Anyway, you may have a fibroid or something pushing on a nerve. I also have a strange rash. It is on my neck and is oval shaped but I have had several doctors look at it and they seem to think it is minor and not indicative of any disease. However, the strange part is that it started to appear when all my other symptoms did. Just don't worry. The main thing is not to get overly imaginative about it all. My prayers are with you.

For anyone who has been experiencing these sensations: have you, in the past year, been treated with a fluoroquinolone-based antibiotic (levaquin, tequin, cipro, floxin, etc)? If so, you are likely suffering from a severe adverse reaction to that drug. These reactions can come on long after you are treated, and cause long-lasting pain and other symptoms. Very often those hurt think they have MS, or ALS, or fibromyalgia, or a host of other maladies. They spend thousands of dollars getting MRI, blood and other tests done. Doctors just give them more drugs and tell them it's all in their heads.
The reality is, they have been poisoned by an antibiotic that wasn't thoroughly tested before being released on the public.

I am 48 years old male and used to have a very active life style until I started working two jobs that lasted between 8:30 and 11:00 pm Mon – Fri for the last 3 years. In November 06, I started to feel pins and needles in my left arm and hands that eventually spread to the other arm over this period of time. The pins and needles got progressively worse in December and January. Since that time, I have had nothing but stress in trying to figure out what is wrong with me. I went to the ER for chest tightness in early Jan, but nothing was found unusual, except for gastritis. I did mention the pins and needles to the ER doctor who had me checked for diabetes because it could be related. That was negative. I also had a colonoscopy done in late Jan due to stomach complaints that my primary doctor couldn’t figure out. Nothing was found as well.  Throughout all this, and in addition to an extremely uncomfortable home situation, I became really stressed. The pins and needles continued in both arms and hands and spread to my legs feet. Most nights, I hardly slept because of the pain. I even thought that the problem was related to the part time job which was extremely hard work that required a lot of heavy lifting and pulling, so I gave that up. I consulted with my primary doctor regarding the problem and he referred me to for some physical therapy. It seemed to work and I did get some relief. I eventually stopped the physical therapy in mid-February because the pins and needles had significantly subsided. The problem started back in March and I also started to get what I believe were really severe tension headaches from the moment I wake up in the mornings. The headaches last for the whole day sometimes. I went to see a neurologist in March who recommended an MRI with/without contrasting of my brain and neck. Everything was normal according to the report from the radiologist. I also had an EMG done on my left arm manly because that is where the pins and needles were most of the time. That was also normal. I have been to my primary doctor a couple of times who checked for diabetes and none was found. I even had my eyes fully examined because I thought the headaches were related my need for glasses. Nothing there either. The headache is accompanied by dizziness and pressure around my head and left eye mostly – sometimes both eyes and I feel as if I now have a slight trembling/shaking in my lower jaw when I hold my head up. I also feel tremors in my shoulders and hands and a weird feeling of vibration or shaking in my upper body. It is not an obvious shaking, however, but if I stay really still I feel as if I am shaking. Sometimes when I am lying still, I feel a shudder/nervousness throughout my entire body that goes away after second. There is also the sensation of something crawling around my head. So weird! I asked the neurologist about Parkinson and MS, but he dismissed that, due to the normal MRI, EMG test and other tests he conducted when I was in the office. These feeling don’t interrupt my daily activities; however, I would like to know what is happening, because I really feel "out of it" most of the time. I also get very little sleep as a result of all this. This weekend, I decided to take up running again. I ran for 4 to 5 miles on Saturday and Sunday morning there were no ill effects/weakness when I am running. The headaches/dizziness subsided when I am running but reoccurred after I stopped. The headaches are becoming infrequent, but the dizziness is the same. It stays with me for the major part of the day. I am certain that something is wrong at the point where my neck meets my left shoulder because I do feel a burning pain in that region when I hold my head down for a while, especially when I am looking at the computer for an extended period. It eventually goes away when I hold me head up and bring my shoulders up. Not sure why the MRI on my neck didn’t show anything at this point. I am also noticing that the pins and needles occur mostly in the early part of the nights these past few days. Not much during the day. Really baffling!!! After doing all of these test, I now feel as of I am out of options. I forgot to mention that I also saw an orthopedic doctor who after performing a series of tests told me that everything seemed normal. He did prescribe some rehab for cervical/pelvic traction (whatever that is). That bout of therapy has been scheduled for April. I am now at the point where I feel as if I have no options after seeing all these doctors. How many more doctors do I have to see before I can effectively rule out MS, Parkinson, a tumor or anything life-threatening of sinister? The headache and dizziness affects me daily and the pins and needles in my arms and legs continue most nights.  I keep telling myself that if my condition had anything to do with my brain, the MRI that was conducted a few weeks ago would definitely show something. I was told that my problem is related to stress/anxiety and possibly a pinched nerve someplace in my shoulder/neck region. Can stress/anxiety really be the cause of all of that I am experiencing? I really and truly welcome to any suggestions. Sorry about the lengthy posting. Thanks!

No face tingling at all. Sometimes I feel a little twitching...I think. The EMG doesnt hurt. You feel a mild shock when the neurologist applies the test. I guess I have to be thankful since my condition has only been since January. It seems like you have had yours for a long time. Sorry to hear that. In your case, it might be safe to say that if it was something serious or life-threatening, it would have manifested itself by now more severly. If I have to live with my condition, fine....just that I want to know what is wrong so I can know how to deal with it. I just dont want to spend money on a battery of tests that come up negative all the time and the doctors are not able to accurately diagnose what is wrong. At the same time, I dont want to sit and wait until it becomes more serious and too late to address it more effectively. What a dilemma! I guess I'll just keep on running and hope it eventually goes away.

thank you guys for your advice... I was thinking of seeing a rheumo.... I also wanted to be screened for stds again to see if its that... I dunno whats going on but its getting increasingly harder to deal with this pain everyday.  I am getting married in 2008 and just want to feel better before the wedding (if I have enough energy to plan it that is)... but I will try to think positive... does anyone think it could be vascular related??  I mean the twiching feels like its in my carotids and aorta and femoral arteries....thanks again for all of your advice... keep ya posted

- jenny the emg hurt me a little bit at first, but then I got used to the shocks and it was fine

Tara,

How long have you been on the birth control pill?

I'm asking because I've been experiencing your symptoms (the CONSTANT TWITCHING especially!) for the past six months. My symptoms started the very day after I began the combined pill for the first time.

It started off with me feeling like bubbles were racing through my veins and popping every now and again. Then the twitching got stronger and stronger. Now I also feel my body jerk from time to time for no reason. I also feel a buzzing sensation in my feet when I lie down. Last night I had to kick off my covers to get to sleep, I was so hot. The windows were open and the fan was on and it was forty degrees out! And finally I too have had an on and off rash for the past six months. At first I thought I was overdoing the fruit juices (I've been allergic to citrus since I was a child) but a period of nothing but water put that idea to rest.

I too have had electrolyte and B12 tests done, nerve conductivity, EMG, lupus/autoimmune tests, thyroid tests, the works. All normal!

I've been searching for MONTHS to try to find someone who might have had the same reaction I've had to the bcp. Two gynecologists, one general physician and one neurologist have all told me I'm crazy to think my symptoms could be a result of taking the pill. Could you PLEASE contact me??!

Thanks!

I'm new here too & am so glad to have found a place to talk to others with the same problems!
Since Jan. 2006 I've been experiencing anxiety attacks, leg twitching, ear & temple pressure, shoulder & neck aches, a vibrating/rushing sensation in my legs, tingling & burning in my feet, occasional light confusion, fatigue, sleeplessness, a hard time swallowing, sometimes too much saliva other times no saliva, a feeling of going crazy and more.
My doctor put me on zoloft 25mg, then 50mg, then 75mg. The 75mg made me feel shaky so she moved me back to 50mg and the shakiness stopped. I ended up in the ER with a major anxiety attck (they say) where I got this hot sensation starting in my stomach and slowly moving up to my neck including my hands and arms. I was then put on lorizapam for the anxiety attacks. I started walking on a regular basis and seemed to feel better. Then I started with muscle aches in my legs, thought it was from too much walking up hill, then the muscle aches started in my lower arms & now my shoulders. I'll go 3 or 4 days with no symptoms and then boom their back again!
I'm so tired of feeling this way as you all that are experiencing it are too. My doctor just keeps telling me its anxiety & depression. The ER doctor told me that too. It just seems like I have too many problems to be those two. Can anyone help?

Hi all,

Im glad ive found somewhere that people like me come too speak about there problems .. now onto my problem .. im speaking here as i feel it may help me too let others know and discuss things .. it lets us all know where not alone for e.g.

My problems started after my mother with whom im very close too had a brain heammorage in november 05 .. i was distraught and that was the first time ive ever really had too deal with any kind of major stress.

The symptons i feel are these .. i get occasional dizzyness , burning sesation in 3 different parts of my head and sometimes a dull pain that almost seems too penetrate right through my brain and into my jaw .. scary feeling at times! I also occasionaly get pains in my eye sockets and my head is also sensitive too touch at times. I actually do have ruptured lumbar discs which cause a fair amount of pain and sometimes im bed ridding its that bad .. currently im ok with them but these head problems still persist with me .. and one thing ive never had are HEADACHES! .. now its all i think about. I used too have chest pain , arm pain all the time(still sometimes do get it) and i was at docs all the time complaining but ive had all the tests are according too them im ok. Ive had nothing done about my head as my doctor insists its stress/anxiety etc .. my pains in head are not totally mind blowing but they scare me nonetheless. My doctor thinks i have a fear off cancer or something like that .. yet i know a shrink wouldnt be able too help me stop thinking bad things .. as i believe sometimes a doctor gets it wrong. I live in constant fear of something happening too me and its really hard too live like that .. noone truly understands what its like unless your going through it .. u just get told your a hypercondriac etc but you know what your eeling is there and your not! I know im rambling but i hope people get my point .. i live in fear everyday with it but i dont want too .. i do want help and i think i need help but i need to be told it aint serious .. yet doctor dont give a ****. Im also getting married this year etc and to be honest this sometimes comes between me and my fiance but thats another story .. ive been honest but would like ana nswer from a neuro doc if possible .. about any of my symptoms.

Thanks
Glen

Sounds like Restless Leg Syndrome. I have had that for years I'm suprised no one said anything about that.Your legs after walking alot or running & you rest after that, that's when it starts..feels like bugs crawling on your legs or you feel as if you just have to move them or sometimes a burning or tingling feeling. Night time is the worse, an if you get up and walk it stops, but when you sit or lay back down it starts all over again..that RLS..I'm no Doctor or anything like that but I have been thru so many things the past 11 years and that is only 1 of them.

I hope this helps..there are a lot of people with RLS.There is a national web site on this I beleive it's ..RLS.com

by Darbear, Apr 28, 2006 12:00AM
Sorry, forgot to tellyou about RLS meds. 1 is Requip and another is Carb/Levo timed released. They both work and cost about the same..

by marksman, May 14, 2006 12:00AM
Restless leg syndrome can be casued by low Iron levels.

by Mendel, May 25, 2006 12:00AM
Hi princezz1983,
Your story seems very similar to something I'm having.
For a LONG While now, say 2 years, I have had wierd turns(for want of a better word).
I'm in my mid 20's and generally an easy going guy until this all started.
Basiclly I get bubbles running through my veins, or so it seems, exactly how you say. Is it twitch or a vein problem???
I get light headed and often get rushing going through my head and back. I have had heart issues with it going fast and slow when i breath as well as randomly gonig to like 140 for no reason. They did all the test on it and it was fine.
I constantly worry I am going to die basically everyday. I know everyone will say but you proably be dead by now but I still feel soooo ill and bad that it seems they are all wrong.
Cheers for listening.
Mendel

I have been experiencing tingling in my left hand and right foot intermittantly. And now a bit in my left foot. I have had a lot of stress in my life and have been told this is stress related. How does stress cause this? I also experience that buzzing feeling, whereby I feel a low humming in my body, like a car that is idoling. I am told this is the autonomic nervous system in overdrive due to Adrenal Fatigue. Anyone out there experience anything similar??The anxiety, panic and worry that something is seriously wrong is overwhelming sometimes. I am a Registered Nurse too, so I tend to think big!! I just can't bare the thought of MRI's and EMG's etc. Is there any blood testing that could help shed some light? I was told cortisol levels willnot reflect adrenal fatigue..

by kellynwv, Jun 06, 2006 12:00AM
Have you ever been checked for fibromyalgia?  I have a lot of the same symptoms and they say it is all anxiety.  My friend went to many, many doctors and finally was diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

by worrywoman30, Jun 08, 2006 12:00AM
Hi, I have been having alot of problems lately i am a worrtier and i mean a big worrier thats all i do is worry. I have also been having like a twitching feeling in my stomach like a baby kicking and its been going on for a while and it doesnt hurt but its annoying and the way i worry... i have looked up everything from all diseases and disorders and it seems to be nothing to worry about...I know most of u have gone to the doctor but i havent im actually a little scared of them i always have.. so i just find out my own stuff and some websites adn very good and they seem to help more then a doctor because they are like lets do this test and all kinds and most of the time they do tests that has nothing to do with what ur going through.. i wouldnt worry about burning sensations tingling, headaches or none of that yea they can be a pain but nothing serious i know that because u name a health site and i have been there...but lately i have been having jerking and like a twitching in my left leg it mostly happens only at night i dont know whats going on but  i have been doing research if any one has had this please help..

by feed up, Jun 09, 2006 12:00AM
Hi,
I have found great comfort in reading your letters. I started having sensation like a baby kicking about a month ago too. It is so annoying.......I mostly only notice it while resting or in bed.
After about a week I started looking at relevant websites (this is the one that relates mostly to me). The interesting thing was that a few hours after I began reading how some people have twitches ALL over I started to develop them too !!!!!!!!
They come and go......some nights aren't too bad (or maybe I am just more soundly asleep), and other nights I am driven insane.
I have no muscle weakness that I have noticed.
I have tried magnesium calcium supplements but seem to have an upset stomach and LOUD rumbles !!!!!!!
Anyhow, nice to have someone to write to who understands

by feed up, Jun 09, 2006 12:00AM
The baby fluttering I was referring to is mostly at the base of my abdoninal near where the pubic area starts........although now "it" sometimes "kicks" anywhere .........I am 46..........do you think it could be related to peri menopause ? As I said before the twitches just turn up anywhere on my body now.

by worrywoman30, Jun 13, 2006 12:00AM
hey, i have been experienceing the same thing and i am only 15 years old so i dont think it has anything to do with menopause, i have talked to people and everyone says its do to stress and having bad nerves so if u  have stress and bad nerves i guess that explains it i have been going crazy about worrying and i really hate to go to the doctor they scare me but i have been doing research and the only thing thats came up is a aorta aneurysm in the abdomen but it says it usually occurs in men at the age of 60.. but idk what to do i am scared it feels like something moves in my stomach all over and i dont know what it is....please help or email me at daniele_4555***@****

by feed up, Jun 13, 2006 12:00AM
I don't think it's a aneurysm........I looked it up and it says it's a pulsating large mass high up on the right hand side of the stomach. Do u feel the twitches different places or just in the one spot? I have twitches through other parts of my body as well. Let me know your thoughts...........I have found the calcium magnesium supplement and tonic water help to lesson the twitching.....

by feed up, Jun 13, 2006 12:00AM
I wrote back earlier but it didn't show up..... .........??????????...........so I will try again.
I looked up Abdominal Aorta Aneurysm and I don't think we have that coz it says it's a pulsating mass usually above the navel..............also mostly males get it. I hope it's not that anyway.

hello, i started having problems last year aug 05 when i got bronicitis. i was in terrible pain in my back. my doctor thought it was a pinched nerve. had tons of x-rays done and mri in sept of 05. my regular physican told me that i had to see back specialist and no lifting over 5lbs until i see this specialist. I was able to see the specialist in Feb 06. I have had scholosis since I was a teenager. he diadnosed me with syrinx in the neck c4 - c7. During this process I have had no insurance. Very hard to get treatment. I have had terrible pain in the back. I have a very stiff neck and cannot turn it to the normal radious on the left side. Also, i have started to loose some feeling in the left arm and hand.this is very scary due to the fact im only 25. The doctor said I need to see neurosergeon. I have no insurance, very hard to find doctor to treat me. I lost my job due to this condition not being able to lift. I also have headaches and numbing sensation in the back of the head. Today, had severe pain in the head when i bent over. Are these symptoms normal? Do they get worse? I have been on indomethacin, carisoprodol, perocet, alprazolam. Still in pain. Dont know where to go to get help. No hospitals in the area will look at me because i have no insurance. In need of help. My back specialist also, has no ideas where to send me. please help. I am willing to travel into Chicago.

by feed up, Jun 14, 2006 12:00AM
Hi Lost 1
I feel very sad reading your post. Medical problems can certainly get us down.
As I am from Australia I can't comment on how to approach your medical system . One way "in the back door" here would be to present at the hospital emergency section , be admitted and then they carry out all the tests as an inpatient...........without all the costs. Would this work over there?
I will keep you in my prayers...........let us know how you go. Don't get too depressed as most of these problems seem to work out fine in the end. I am clinging to that thought too.
Take Care.

sorry i havent written in a while been at multiple hospitals in my area. I went into Chicago IL to Cook county hospital and sat in er for over 12 hours before i got to see a doctor. the dr. said he wanted to do a cat scan and mri and i had to leave the hospital ama due to the fact the car broke down and i was 2 hours away from home. I returned to the er two days later because he said i could have a stroke or become paralayzed. When i returned last week had a cat scan and given morpine while at the hospital and referred to a neuroseugon. Returned to Cook County hospital another 2 hour drive the next day and met with the neurosergon. I could not believe this doctor. When i met him he sai WHAT ARE YOU HERE FOR? all mean like. then he cont. to say the syrinx is not a painful cond. and all of the other doctors are wrong by treating me w meds for pain. I asked him why I was in constant pain and he said, i dont know. All those drs are wrong for telling you this cond causes you pain. And he went on to say that they are not neurosergons so they cant tell me a thing about my condition. He was such a mean dr have never met someone that was so rude. He finally said that he would order me a mri if thats what i wanted. All mean like. I just wanted to tell that dr that he should not treat people in that manner just because he has the title neurosurgon. It could take up to 28 days to get a appointment to have the mri scheduled. I went to my local hosp on sat to the er because i was in horrible pain.the doctor that i saw said that he knew that dr because he was a med student at that hosp and that dr was a real nice guy, being sarcastic. and they said that all they could do was give me pain meds which was dillatted 2mg and muscle relaxers and sent me home.Does it ever get better i wished i could find a nice neurosergon that understands this condition syrinx. I just started to appply for social security but that could take months even years to get benefits. I try to keep my head up but somedays can be overwhelming with the pain and wonderful people that are supposed to help u but hey just give u attitude. I just wanted to sat thank you for your response. Do you have this condition? Does anyone else have any of these symptoms that i posted already, or this condition. I really appreciate your time for responding.

Hi

I have been suffering from nurological symtoms for six months almost now. I have been diagnosed with low b12 and inflmation to the cervical spinal cord.I have had a few falls so it could be trauma, or mylitis has been suggested as a possibility by my consultant.Ms has been discussed but there is not enough evidence of this.I am 30 years of age, one of my doctors thinks it is trauma and will go away with time.I have had a stressful life changing event occur also.

I have had steriod treatment, and taking nuriton pain killers for nuro symtoms. They have had some effect but not full, my hands still feel numb particularly in the morning.I still have a slight tremor down my back and a tingle in my cheek now and then.It has slowed me down and I haven't felt I can do as much, it has also effected my work, but I am still there.

When I wake up and my hands are numb, I know it's not right. I keep thinking gosh could I die, or can you live a whole life with these symtoms.I am seeing a doctor, and I am likely to have more treatment. I strongly sympathise with anyone who is suffering these type of symtoms, and they do hinder working.I also would nt advise anyone to leave them, you must see a doctor if you can.

Have your doctor check for a Carotid Buit which is an abnormal sound that can be heard using a stethoscope to listen to blood flow in the carotid artery. The Caratid artery is the main artery in your neck and it brings blood into the head.

If a bruit is detected it means there is a fatty build up in the artery which can increase your risk of stroke. However, a bruit does not always mean the build up will increase nor that a stroke is imminent. It is something that you and your physician should be aware of and watch closely.

I truly hope this helps you as I will probably never return to this web site to know for sure. I, myself, am having Nerologocal symptoms of a wide varying degree and was just hoping if there was someone else out there who had the same things going on that they might have gotten a correct diagnoses where I might gather information. At this point a diagnoses of MS would be a blessing. This past May my best friend's mother died of a rare and aggressive brain tumor. My dad also died suddenly of heart attack brought on by the Chemotherapy treatments he was taking for lung cancer. MS may not be pretty but at least it's not a death sentence.

I found this forum while searching for answers to the health problems I'm having. I have been having bad headaches, tingling in my arms and hands, pain in my upper spine, including my neck and under my shoulder blades. This has been the case off and on for several years. I have always gotten relief in the past by seeing a chiropractor for a couple of months every year or so. This time I have been seeing my chiropractor since October, but have continually gotten worse instead of better. A couple of weeks ago, I had uncontrolable movements in my right hand and a fingers. My chiropractor referred me to an orthopedic doctor. My appointment isn't for another couple of days. A few days ago while driving, I became extremely light-headed an almost passed out. My husband drove me to the emergency room. They did a CT scan and an MRI. The MRI showed that I have four disks in my neck (4,5,6 and 7) that are pinching the nerves and 2 of the disks are touching my spinal cord. The ER doc said the orthopedic doc will decide what to do when I see him. The ER doc also told me that the 'dizzy spell' I had probably had nothing to do with my neck. I'm not so sure. Any info anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.
