A friend had an MRI. she has no symptoms of any kind. The MRI showd small ischemic changes. Could you give us an idea of what that means?She is 55 years old. the report said - not unusual in a woman this age.

Hi there!

Ischaemia refers to decreased blood supply and if prolonged could lead to tissue death. I would assume since the ischaemic changes are small they are unlikely to result in symptoms. You may like to discuss this with her treating doctor.
