At one time I was allergic to Sulfa (rash) and I noticed that my drug store allowed the release of the new med Zonegran even though it stated something about Sulfa reaction. Could the facial pain be related to Sulfa? I was actually off the Zonegran for 9 days and the facial pain didn't subside.
I really don't know who to turn to. The new neurologist - I am leary of continuing with him because he didn't think I should have had any withdrawal symptoms from Elavil. He was SO WRONG on that!
I couldn't be an abcess (abscess) tooth because I have a full upper denture...the aching begins in my upper lip and spreads to my cheek area.
