Whenever a patient asks us about alternative therapies and drugs, the first question we have to ask ourselves is, can this therapy/drug be harmful to the patient. If not, then we give our opinion as to its scientific and medical value (at the request of our patient) and allow them to make the decision on their own. I was unable to find any actual data, clinical research trials, or case studies in the respected medical literature confirming their hypotheses regarding their specific product. Furthermore, unless you do have a real acidosis such as those patients who have drunk antifreeze, methanol, or who have severe kidney disease or any serious diseases like severe systemic infections or diabetic ketoacidosis, bicarb is NOT medically indicated. In my personal and professional opinion, I would exercise caution in trying the product and am very unlikely to recommend it to any of my patients unless there is convincing medical evidence to do so.
Do you know where I can get this brand of water or the makers?
Thanks, Chirs
