Numbness & High Blood Pressure

Dear Dr.; I am 39 going on 40 and was diagnosed with High Blood Pressure and Mild Hypertensive Heart Disease. Basically I got really dizzy  with extreme headaches and excellerated blood pressure one night at work that I left esrly to go to the emergency room where I was referred to a cardiologist who ran several tests and diagnosed me. I was diagnosed in November of 2006 and have been on medication for my blood pressure since then. For the past couple of days I have been experiencing severe lower back pains  which is now accompanied with numbess of bothe enitre arms when I sleep. I sleep flat on my back and wake up to both of my arms tingling from my finger tips to my shoulders. It is going on my 3rd day of experiencing this. What could be causing this to happen? Any help would bebgreatly appreciated.
